Estero Island, also known as Fort Myers Beach, is a barrier island located off the southwest coast of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. It is part of Lee County and encompasses the town of Fort Myers Beach. The island is connected to the mainland by the Matanzas Pass Bridge.
