A luxurious Sarasota County destination lands on Forbes’ list of the top 12 places to visit in 2025, highlighting remarkable spots from around the globe.
Following the recent announcement that one of Longboat Key’s most popular restaurants — Dry Dock Waterfront Grill overlooking Sarasota Bay — landed on OpenTable’s list of Top 100 Restaurants in America for 2024, the entire barrier island has made Forbes Travel Guide’s Top 12 Destinations for 2025, which includes places from around the world.
While Longboat Key spans parts of Sarasota and Manatee counties, the Forbes article focuses on the Sarasota side, namely The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort. Opened in August, the luxury hotel overlooks a private white sand beach and the Gulf of Mexico while offering guests spacious rooms with coastal accents, multiple waterfront restaurants and bars, and a spa featuring various signature treatments.
